The 'always live' nature of the show makes it so unpredictable in terms of quality each season.
If a person (Paul this season) is running away with the entire game, obviously the producers are going to shine a light on that all season.
However, if the jurors unexpectedly say "hey this guy had such shitty jury management" then that 'mastermind' story arc is going to lead to an epic fail.
However, if the editors know from the beginning of the season how it is going to all play out like on Survivor, the show can set us up for the huge downfall like on this season.
Imagine an entire season of the editors setting up Paul inciting bullying, telling Josh what to do every day, and lying to Jason and Alex's faces all season, only for that to blow up in his face and for Josh, his little bitch boy to steal all the credit in the end. Basically Survivor Heroes vs Villains except Sandra is 50x better than Josh.

Everything about what you just wrote was perfectly accurate
honestly that's how reality tv should be. It's not a drama, I know a lot of fans love story arcs in survivor and stuff but I watch scripted shows for that. Reality tv shouldn't have to be consistent. Idk just my opinion but I know most don't agree with that lol.
