ROFL, you weren't even trying to use it as the word is used in Spanish...you said A negro. (if you wanted to be politically correct, you should have said "Soy Negro" and it would have probably been okay." When you use the word with a different language, the whole meaning of the word changes. Don't try me, boo :* Iraheto
The term negro is not racist. While it isn't politically correct by any means, and definitely can be a racial one, everyone knows the more offensive term or a black person without me saying it.
Also, I noticed you mentioned political correctness. Political correctness can kiss my big, fat, BLACK, behind because I don't care about being politically correct and neither does my spicy, fiery, latino amigo Javier. Political correctness is the term that people who are worried about offending others give to certain phrases (Such as African American to a black person). So now as a society it is not considered politically correct to call a black person a negro. But that is in America. In the UK, what do they call black people? The answer isn't African American since they aren't Americans and it isn't African British either. They call them negros in Britain. The reason being is that they don't have the same history we do with racism and no one gets offended by the term there. No one gets offended by it because they as a society choose not to let that word have a negative connotation.
My point is that we choose the power that words have over us and we can choose to get offended by the term negro or not (or any other term for that matter). If you choose to be offended by it, then I have the equal choice of not caring about you being offended.
Also he was saying that he was negro in a proud way so really you are the racist here because you are against him being happy that he is black.
