My mouth still hurts after getting my first root canal this morning. I was able to nap away some of the pain, but even when you first get your mouth numbed you will feel pain. Imagine feeling like a needle was lodged in your mouth before getting it numbed, and pretty much having your whole mouth feel numb for well after an hour after the appointment is done. Apart from that, until I can go get a crown for it, I can only chew most foods on the other side of my mouth. And I have to go for the crown if I don't want to end up with a cracked tooth!
