Big Brother and online Hunger games.

This might actually be

the best way to describe Tengaged, at least as far as tone is considered:

Happiness is too calm for this site! I've realised the site does not like calm or happy people, because they don't really mesh with the dominating personalities here. People who like reality shows filled with drama come here, the target audience is looking for snidey remarks and fighting. Popularity here is probably not a good thing and happiness and fully burying hatchets will never occur. Damn this was longer and more reflective than intended. lol

Throughout my years on this website, one trend I have noticed on this website is that people almost never bury the hatchet and just let things go.  Because this is a Big Brother website, drama is glorified in more ways than one.  Also, because this is a site without moderators other than the randomize who doesn't do shit, the toxicity of many people on this website has reached a high that would never have been allowed back when this website was in its prime.  It also because of the aforementioned toxicity that even if this site got moderators by some miracle, hope for true happiness from this website as a whole was long lost years ago, making Tengaged forever a hopeless place.

This is why people who are nice are not famous here.

Haha, thanks for quoting Icarus_mark

I totally agree with what you said too. The drama is glorified. It's kind of like morals and behavioural standards have been sacrificed or ignored for drama's sake. It's all about getting quick attention and playing the victim. Why have any standards or bury any hatchets when you can exploit a simple thing for days and gain top blogs where others seem personally invested in your drama? I think so many users would be HORRIFIED if we went back to the times when there was strict moderation like the kind Bengalboy mentioned, where even using the word f*ggot could get people banned.
