Semajdude - Corsola - Iconic choice. Love her color scheme, love that she goes :> Great design. I will say that I do prefer Galar-Corsola because her dying from global warming and going to :< is funny to me and great world building. 9/10
Koolness234 - Jynx - I mean... obv a classic pick. She *IS* the reason many of us are gay. She's fun to use, she has hilarious moments on the show. The way she use to be racist in the past is messy but not everyone is perfect. 10/10
LaFierceBrittany2 - Aipom - Aipom is adorable. Good color scheme, love his gloveworld hand, love his smile. BUT I will say he is fairly forgettable to me in the grand scheme of Johto. Whenever I do those sporcle name the pokemon in each region quizzes I almost ALWAYS forget Aipom sadly. Also, I hate it's evolution, which I find very ugly. 8/10
Olympia - Starmie - Very iconic duh because A) gay design B) gay coloring C) Misty. She always kind of gave me a futuristic android feel which is how I justified the Psychic type. In a world where Gen 1 designs are basic as fuck, this was the just perfect amount of whimsy. 10/10
Buttercup13 - Blastoise - He's fine. He is a big fat turtle which I like. Squirtle to me is the cutest starter, but Blastoise is very middle of the road for me for the Kanto Starter. He is MILES better than the overrated beast that is Charizard tho. 8/10
Brandonator - Poliwag - Kind of the worst of his line? Pretty cute but I think Poliwhirl kind of beats Poliwag by miles in terms of silly little frog design. Also Poliwhirl being the creator of Pokemon's favorite Pokemon which is why it was so prominent in Gen 1 merch and advertising is funny. Poliwag is cute sure but eh 7/10
SomebodyAwesome - Mawile - Mawile has had such a journey. The way she went from being useless as fuck, until Gen 6 when she became a certified TERRORIST with her mega evolution, and now she is useless again. Pride cometh before the fall truly. Anyway, design wise she is excellent. Adding fairy to her gave her EXACTLY the missing piece she needed, and I think my favorite thing about her is the mysteriousness of her always facing away... shy queen 10/10
Survivor8 - Kingdra - Oh another good one. JUST enough dragon in the design to justify the typing, but I think it could have been pushed a little further. Getting one of these and using rain dance hurricane is also funny to me in random battles because... how is she making a hurricane? Also, its mouth is so small I know shit comes out like a damn fire hose. 9/10
Mrkk - Azumarill - This is the first one I have mixed emotions. I think if I saw Azumarill's design I'd be like eh ok. It's sort of cute, but mostly I find it really annoying in battles. I hate huge power, I hate how slow this thing is when I need it to me fast, and I fucking hate that I feel like whenever I use one of these with Play Rough it always misses. Maybe I'm just bitter but ya, sorry, 6/10
Akeriachanel - Lopunny - Femme queen. Honestly a fun design but she is a bit ruined to me with how sexualized she is because lets face it, she IS the definition of furry bait, so she loses 2 points for me there 8/10
Boots22 - Ditto - Great design. It wasn't until recently that I realized now masterfully fun Ditto was designed to be. Breeding slave ASIDE, whenever I see merch and it's a bunch of pokemon and then one off with Ditto's signature smiley face, I laugh. I think the game and animations have done a great job of playing with this concept. EX: I saw a poketoon and a girl ran up to a group of Bulbasaurs. One had the ditto smile and she hugged the one that was hers, and then the rest turned out to all be Dittos! Made me chuckle. Kind of a demon in battles tho but I'll let it slide 10/10
ARTPOP2 - Mareanie - Mareanie is great because I can appreciate the design and lore and not have to think about how damn annoying it is like with Toxapex. Great lore building with Mareanie. Punny name. Getting it is annoying with having to wait for a Corsola to call it BUT that just adds to all the world building! Excellent color scheme too. I will say using one it kind of sucks but oh well. it's very you 9/10
tonym101101 - Gengar - I mean he's perfect. He's purple. He's fat. He smiles very mischievously. Again, I think Gen 1 design is very overrated BUTTT Gengar is the exception to that rule. You should watch this if you haven't 10/10
pinkiepie512 - Eevee - Sorrrry girl I think Eevee is kind of boring. Fun concept, cute girl, but I think all the Eeveelutions have way more personality and spunk than Eevee herself. She's kind of the blank slate that needs to pick a destiny so there's a lot of potential there. Not bad herself, just in comparison to where she could end up 7/10
MichelleObama - Scolipede - Yessss one of the best bug designs there is. LOOKS venomous, has a interesting and memorable niche of being FAST with speed boost, and is fun to use! Also, donut #iykyk 10/10
Mrbird - Gallade - Mens Rights! Jk, I do like Gallade, he's very SAFE to me. But I actually do like it more than Gardevoir. I think they have a fun dynamic of mage vs FIGHTER yknow? Gardevoir is a bit overexposed so Gallade is kind of forgotten and the ugly stepchild, but I think he is good! 8/10
Irelia - Espeon - Ok I've had a journey with Espeon. Design wise, I love it. Very chic, seems very mysterious too, which encapsulates its typing perfect. HOWEVER... one of the ugliest shinies ever god. Also, I think it kind of gets TOO much love and I wish some of the other eeveelutions got the attention Espeon did. That being said, I've used Espeon many times and she always delivers. Whether its in the game, or in competitive battling, she never disappointed. I'm trying NOT to sound like a contrarian here so I will give her the score she deserves 10/10
Typhlosion37 - Celesteela - This is kind of a random pick but I really appreciate that. In terms of design, I do like Celesteela. I think her and Kartana are probably my favorite Ultra Beasts IN DESIGN. In actually, Celesteela is kind of a demon and I have a very specific example. The other day I played a game against a Celesteela with Leech Seed and Protect and all I had was a Chansey. Lets just say the game went on for like, 10 minutes cuz it took so long and i LOST. Needless to say I was pissed. I know she's only UU (if you know what that means) but I still kind of fear her. 8/10 The good outweighs the bad
Slice - Furret - He's cute :3 I never really thought much about him but your discord pic being pink him made me re-evaluate. I'll start with the negative, a bit forgettable in the grand scheme of things, very safe design. BUT that doesn't necessarily mean he's bad, I mean I love Ducklett who I'd argue is also a safe design. I think his biggest strength is I want to wrap him around my neck like one of those sleep pillows and just have a cute friend travelling with me at all times. His biggest draw is how short his arms are, which I think is great contrast with his long body hehe. 9/10
boyfriend - Froslass - A better choice. I love how bitchy Froslass looks... like I can relate! Design wise, excellent. Typing wise, unique and she looks the part. She may be the biggest glass cannon to ever live but there's nothing funnier than Destiny Bonding and taking someone down with you, which fits her bitch vibe. 10/10
Sebbers - Fennekin - I think Fennekin is the best Kalos starter, and it's who I picked when I played Y! That being said, I think the Kalos starters are also generally weak lol. The concept of her evolution line being the mage works, but she's generally just like a cute fox and doesn't have that personality spunk yet. Decent 8/10
Maxi1234 - Gardevoir - HATE TO SAY IT BUT BORING PICK. Like yeah Gardevoir serves cunt but SOOOOO many other pokemon have come and done it in more unique ways than she has. She is kind of the original baddie (and also weird Pokemon porn bait), so like, props to being one of the first, but I kind of have meh'd on her as a whole since she is THEE definition of overexposed along with Charizard and Pikachu, like why was Diantha's ace a Gardevoir? idk it annoyed me. 7/10 Sorry if this is blasphemous
dannyjr0587 - Toxapex - Kind of see above with Mareanie. GREAT world building. GREAT design. Evil funny starfish hehe. ANNOYING!!!!!!!!! Like damn this thing will truly never die sometimes. Its kind of a double edge sword cuz its fun and camp when I stall with it but when someone else does... death. Still love the design tho. 9/10
rollingderp - Gothitelle - yes emo queen. Love her couture dress. Her kind of looking like a cunt and then having SHADOW TAG like.... lmao ur not leaving. Kind of hate her pre-evolutions cuz they give me Toddlers and Tiara vibes but SHE is serving. 9/10
Booyahhayoob - Snorlax - He's funny. He's big and fat and a friend. Kind of one of the staple of the series so this is a safe pick but he's not inherently bad! Just that I hate bulky pokemon a bit cuz they give me headaches, but I still love Snorlax 9/10
Joee323 - Wooper - Ok personally *I* like Quagsire and am just okay with wooper but I know that is the minority opinion. Wooper def has like a cult following (see: ) but he's just kind of a mildly cute little pokemon to me. Like I understand where all the appeal comes in from, but it doesn't hit me the same way. 8/10
BigBrotherDonny - Chansey - Nurse... Nurse!!!! I think Chansey is a fantastic mon. FIRST OF ALL she's more fun to use than Blissey, and not nearly as damn annoying to get. SECOND icons like Nurse Joy and the bitch in Eterna forest Cheryl use one and it uses EGG BOMB which is such a funny move cuz ur just like... egging them in the face? Anyway 10/10
Austinrules6969 - Piplup - Hehe very cute. EASILY the best Sinnoh starter lines and arguably one of the most endearing starter pokemon. Ik Dawn had one and I have no idea if it was useless or not but lemme pretend it was a serve. The way Happy Feet came out the same year as DiaPer... a big win for the Penguin Community 9/10
tonyalbright - Charizard - NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I fucking HATE HATE HATE this bitch and let me tell you why. Charizard has his grubby hands on TOOO many things. 2K for a card? Sure, whatever. Shoved into X and Y? ok... TWO MEGA EVOLUTIONS?? WHY?? When it was the only one in Smash 4 I was FUMING because its easily the shittiest pokemon trainer pokemon. and THEN to top it all off they made the Champion of the Galar region have a Charizard as its ACE?? HUH??? Design wise it's actually not bad, but this thing is a demon that will plague our lives forever and I wish they put other more interesting pokemon in the spotlight. 0/10
Kinggeek - Misdreavus - Wow coming for Roy's gig. I love misdreavus. She seems like the kind of girl you'd be friends with in middle school who obv knew you were gay and was only friends with you at first cuz she wanted a gbf, but then you two bond over how much you talk shit about ppl and it develops beyond that. maybe im projecting. anyway 10/10
Pekka - Emolga - Out of all the pikaclones, emolga is the most forgivable i'd say. If you said like Togedemaru i'd have to drag but at least emolga is generally appealing. Is it useless? yes, but that didn't stop miss icon Elesa from using one so follow ur heart 8/10
thnksfrthmmrs - Obstagoon - Linoone getting an evolution like 15 years later is very odd. I do generally like this mon but its kind of the definition of straight culture with hooligans and soccer and that kind of throws me off. idk, he looks like he's gonna mug me behind target at night so if pokemon were real I would avoid. Design wise he gets a pass 7/10
skyler1822 - Mewtwo - A bit of a classic pick I guess. I think Mewtwo is great in a LORE stance in that the movie with him was amazing. In game his design is... okay. it's very Gen1. HATED his mega evolutions and he's such a bitch to fight against whenever you have to. It's funny cuz he's kind of been upstaged in terms of god power with there being an actual god pokemon now... eh, mew is more appealing. Very fun in smash to play tho 7/10
zach3051 - Galar Ponyta - SOOOO much better than basic fire horse Kanto ponyta. I know a lot of people kind of hated this when it first came out cuz it looks very My Little Pony buttt I think it borders that line well enough. Generally a cute one 8/10
woeisme - absol - I'll be honest about this one. I mean to me this kind of screams Edgy Teen (tm) which I use to hate but now... its sort of funny to me. the way everyone sees it and thinks the world is ending and hates it for it? a romcom in the making. Generally i like the ~somewhat~ lunar feel it has, and its a decent pokemon to use as well if you ever get it in a nuzlocke (which is the only time i'd use it). not my personal cup of tea, but i do think the design is solid and unique enough that i get it standing it out among like 900 mons as someone's favorite. 8/10
cheritaisdelicious - Bulbasaur - This is just good taste. Bulbasaur is SOOOOO adorable and I think all the fan art you can see of people making regional Bulbasaurs with different plants on its back is soooo cool but GameFreak doesn't have the EQ to realize the fans want shit like that 10/10
bbdamian - Slowking - Kind of hilarious in concept that he just goes from absolute mouthbreather to just... god tier intelligence that it could win a nobel prize. Galar Slowking is actually more interesting to me as a weird potionmaker, but I like both. It's just a fucking bitch to get in game cuz i HATE trade evolutions. One of the best Gen 1 later generation evolutions. 9/10
bunnycat - Psyduck - :} I mean he's kind of basic, and I think DUCKLETT is the superior duck design but his schtick in the anime was funny and propelled him to icon status. 10/10
Veigar - Geodude - the hell. I won't even pretend to be nice here Geodude is mad boring in terms of design (ROCK WITH ARMS) and is annoying as fuck since you fight a million in games. Sorry lol 3/10
TheTDIRobi - Drifblim - YESS!!! Such a good ghost type. This shit is EVIL like the way it just kidnaps ppl and hates fat people is so good. Having unburden as an ability is hilarious when you consider that too. King of being in Fantina's MATH ghost gym. 10/10
Lucas_RFS - Lucario - Suffers from the same issues as Gardevoir/Charizard/Lopunny. VERY overexposed to where I get annoyed to see it (Smash, Pokken, Korina's ace, has its own movie im pretty sure) AND is the definition of furry bait. The amount of porn of this thing is ungodly. Design wise it looks cool but the psychological turmoil this thing has caused on me is too much. Also its one of the most boring bitches to play in smash ultimate so BOOT 4/10
David2560 - Blaziken - Speed Boost Swords Dance is what satan himself designed. This thing is an evil fucking chicken and started the annoying trend of FIRE/FIGHTING starters that has happened FOUR out of EIGHT times. tf? This thing is an evil chicken 0/10
AronJX - Jirachi - So Pokemon loves having what has been deemed as "Fairy" legendaries like mew/celebi/jirachi/manaphy/shaymin etc. and I think Jirachi is kind of... a bit boring? Also Serene Grace has me fucked all the way up. However it is funny to me how like, impossible it was to get a Jirachi in the original gen 3 games like you had to get it from Pokemon Colosseum?? What a way to hold people pokedex's hostage. 7/10
Lachie227 - Milotic - What an annoying bitch to get. FISH ON ONE SPECIFIC TILE TO FIND A RARE FEEBAS, and then SHOVE POFFINS DOWN ITS THROAT SO IT THINKS ITS BEAUTIFUL. Design wise, she is *Kennedy Davenport lip quiver* BEAUTIFUL, but she is kind of an evil stall pokemon with toxic and recover and bulky as fuck. Still iconic but I have my griefs 9/10
Music - Scizor - Well surprise girl they just gave Scizor some competition this morning with KLEAVER but Scizor is better to me. I think he has a very solid design and fits into his typing niche very well. it's always fun to use him until there is even the HINT of a fire move in the air, but I digress. Hate trade evolutions tho 9/10
Yaxha - Vileplume - In a weird way I'm in a Renaissance Vileplume era. I WISH she was a darker purple like her old gen sprites but design wise with the Corpse flower she's sooo fun. Also Strength Sap, Sleep Powder got people fucked up in random battles when you do it right as they dynamax like its so funny they get so mad. Anyway top tier Grass type AND a top tier Poison type 10/10
Nateclove - Hattrem - Hattrem is adorable. In a lot of ways to me, she looks more like a stage one evolution but that is honestly a good thing, because stage 2 evolutions tend to be kind of ugly and forgettable. I do think Hatterene is more a slay but Hattrem is a soft toot. Love her little bounce animations 9/10
TotalDramaLover1234 - Pachirisu - In the grand scheme of things, Pachirisu is a mildly cute pokemon clone. HOWEVER!!! Pachirisu is so iconic for the fact that she was literally used on a pokemon world tournament team and WON???? This bitch is SURPRISINGLY bulky, and has FOLLOW ME, and was able to tank MULTIPLE draco meteors in order to allow another team mate to set up and win the game. This was SUCH a legendary moment because everyone wrote off Pachirisu as a shitty mon competitively, so someone coming out with one and proving they just want to use who they like is so funny to me. 10/10
ColinCoco - Quagsire - I enjoy Quagsire a lot, he's very dumb stupid friend (and I don't mean that in a bad way he has OBLIVIOUS as an ability). I always kind of thought he looked a bit like a capybara due to the shape? anyway very cute very good to use as well, even if a razor leaf will end his life 9/10
AlexaVonTrayne - Diancie - I'll be nice cuz u voted me to win ORS but actually Diancie is a bit of a flop. FIRST why the fuck isn't it evolved from Carbink? SECOND god i hate diamond storm so much!!! It's not overdesigned for a legendary (mega diancie was tho) which is rare, but overall its whatever to me 6/10
Seongwoo - Walrein - actually SPHEAL is the best from the line but I do like Walrein. Looks like a walrus, has enough twist on it to pass as a pokemon, kind of shit to use but you know you can make it work, and icon Glacia has one. The one mon were Thick Fat actually makes the most sense, So it gets an A-Ok from me 8/10
Kiara_xoxo - Kirlia - The way this is almost your name? Again as i've said I kind of find the Gardevoir line very overexposed, and I think Kirlia suffers from middle evolution a bit where it doesn't exactly do much besides trying to be the link between the start and end of the line. I like the ballerina dancer vibe, and i think seeing a male kirlia is gay rights tbh, I just find the line to be a bit... basic in the grand scheme 7/10
