This list is written all based on my own opinion. All of these songs were released in 2017 or late 2016. There is a mix of songs popular on the radio or streaming, and songs that are more forgotten gems from albums or just never picked up the popularity they should have. These are just in my opinion, the 50 best songs that I'll remember from this year.
#37 - Friends - Justin Bieber & BloodPop®
Like most people, I wasn't a huge fan of the Biebs back during his younger days, but starting with his Believe album, I moved more from the "dislike" to the "neutral" level, and was impressed with some of his singles from the Purpose album (though the rest of the tracks weren't that interesting to me). I've never heard of BloodPop (though on further inspection, he did co-write most of Lady Gaga's Joanne, so that's a plus), so I wasn't sure what to expect of this song prior to hearing it, and so I wasn't expecting much, but once I heard it, I really enjoyed this song. The song is a bop but also written in a way that sounds sincere. The video itself is passable, nothing great, but the song and lyrics are why it's here. It's a fun song where Bieber sounds good, and BloodPop's production and writing are stellar here, and a fantastic lead single to move himself beyond just a writer and producer. The song was quite popular and charted very well in several countries around the world, though on U.S.'s Billboard Hot 100, it only peaked at #20.
Hint for #36 - Yet another producer/singer collaboration, this one I've seen referred to as being one of the most overplayed songs of the year, but I can't get enough of it.
