Top Songs of 2017 - #38

Jan 16, 2018 by GrrrImABear
This list is written all based on my own opinion. All of these songs were released in 2017 or late 2016. There is a mix of songs popular on the radio or streaming, and songs that are more forgotten gems from albums or just never picked up the popularity they should have. These are just in my opinion, the 50 best songs that I'll remember from this year.

#38 - No Frauds - Nicki Minaj, Drake & Lil Wayne

In 2017, Nicki dropped three songs at one time; "Regret in Your Tears", a song where she was by herself, "Changed It", in collaboration with Lil Wayne which appeared earlier on this list, and finally "No Frauds", with Lil Wayne and also including Drake. Apparently this song is a response to a track by Remy Ma's 7-minute diss song "Shether". What I love about this song is that while I'm not a fan of Drake or Wayne, I feel that they both deliver some of their best work in this song. Nicki is great in this song as I feel she usually is on her work, and all three just have so much charisma in this one and don't sound bored (which I know doesn't sound like a lot, but for Drake and Weezy, it is). I love in the video in the last minute and a half or so the image of Nicki and Wayne sitting in their thrones as the king and queen of rap, funnily enough excluding Drake altogether (easily my least favorite for me, so no problem here). This was just so much fun to listen to and I just love listening to each of the three have fun with what their doing, as they're always best when they enjoy it. This song peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Nicki's biggest song of 2017 in which she was the lead artist.

Hint for #37 - This next song is a collaboration between an artist that I used to despise, though the last couple of years, I've just felt neutral towards, and a producer-turned-artist's debut single, so on paper, not much promise, though the finished product was much more interesting than the sum of its parts.
