Top Songs of 2017 - #41

Jan 5, 2018 by GrrrImABear
This list is written all based on my own opinion. All of these songs were released in 2017 or late 2016. There is a mix of songs popular on the radio or streaming, and songs that are more forgotten gems from albums or just never picked up the popularity they should have. These are just in my opinion, the 50 best songs that I'll remember from this year.

#41 - Castle on the Hill - Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran's "Divide" truly was one of the best albums of the year, if not THE best. His writing has improved so much and his delivery on this album was great. "Castle on the Hill" was his second single from the album, following the massive success that was "Shape of You", and it performed quite well, peaking at #6 on Billboard's Hot 100. This was a fun song written about his childhood home and his performance here is just so good. His vocals are so solid here, and the production is just so good. I know that "Shape of You" was the most popular song of "Divide", but it should have been this song. This is one that really just makes you want to jam with it, and it will stick with me for a long time.

Hint for #40 - Two of my favourite singers coming together for their third collaboration on this title track that really worked for me.
