This list is written all based on my own opinion. All of these songs were released in 2017 or late 2016. There is a mix of songs popular on the radio or streaming, and songs that are more forgotten gems from albums or just never picked up the popularity they should have. These are just in my opinion, the 50 best songs that I'll remember from this year.
#43 - Love Galore - SZA (feat. Travis Scott)
This song was my first exposure to the artist SZA and I was highly impressed with her talents as a singer and performer, and later discovered she also has lead writing credits on this song and was further impressed. There's just something in her voice that draws me in and I can't stop listening. This song also has a fun beat to it, and this is, to me, Travis Scott's single best verses. The video itself was fun and interesting, especially the scene and images of the butterflies; something so simple and yet really just had such a nice touch in the cinematography that I always keep that image in my head when I just hear this song. This is such a great song, it also had decent success as it peaked at #32 on Billboard's Hot 100 and placed at #80 on its year-end chart as well. This drew me in to SZA and I can't wait to see what else she puts out in the future.
Hint for #42 - This is a ballad off of a release of a singer that has been long forgotten in the US after being labeled a one-hit wonder, but with Ed Sheeran receiving co-writing credits, this next ballad intrigued me into the potential this artist really has.
