This list is written all based on my own opinion. All of these songs were released in 2017 or late 2016. There is a mix of songs popular on the radio or streaming, and songs that are more forgotten gems from albums or just never picked up the popularity they should have. These are just in my opinion, the 50 best songs that I'll remember from this year.
#45 - do re mi - blackbear
Okay this is the original, the release without Gucci Mane, I just enjoy it more. While I'm not a huge fan of blackbear (though you should check out "Dirty Laundry", it's great), this song was just written with a lot of fun and humour behind it and was performed with such charisma it's difficult to not enjoy this song. The hook to me is just so much fun and though the little melodic line in the instrumentation isn't too exciting, the song has other high production points, like the point later in the song where the voice is altered to be quite low is fun and blackbear can actually sing his hook well, which was a surprise to me. The song peaked at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and I'm hoping we'll see more of his fun songs like this crossover into the Hot 100.
Hint for #44 - The next song was the lead-off single for an artist's album that was following a poorly rated album, but the follow-up exceeded expectations, and the lead-off was a great start.
