This list is written all based on my own opinion. All of these songs were released in 2017 or late 2016. There is a mix of songs popular on the radio or streaming, and songs that are more forgotten gems from albums or just never picked up the popularity they should have. These are just in my opinion, the 50 best songs that I'll remember from this year.
#49 - Sam Smith - Say It First

Sam Smith's "The Thrill of It All" 2017 album I must say overall didn't feel like a step backwards or forwards for the singer, as I felt any of these tracks would fit right in line with his 2014 album "In the Lonely Hour", but as that was my favourite album from 2014, that's not a bad thing. I love this song for it's lyrical content, his recognition of the fact in the lyrics that he's not used to being the one being "chased" in relationships, and there's just something intriguing there. But the melodic composition in this is great as well, also the production in this to me just sounds so good. His voice in this just rings with his sincerity here and really just works for me. This isn't the best song on the album [hint, hint], but it's one of the better tracks in my opinion.
Hint for #48 - Probably the newest song on this countdown, as it's just a couple of weeks old, but to me has enough power to solidify a spot on this list.
