Hello Randomize. My name is Chris or Gaiaphagee, a Survivor Group Game Host and Player for 6 years. Like many users, group games are the only reason I am still on this website. (just realized how rude that is worded. I don't mean it because of the site itself, just mean it because I personally do not play karma games that much. This website is great of course, and anyone who complains is lying to themselves because tbh they are still on here! lol)
Group games typically last 3-4 weeks, sometimes even longer. A lot longer than any karma game! The effort you have to put in these games is so much more, in my opinion, than other games, including Stars and Hunger Games.
Anyways, I think group games need a change. We've had very minor tweaks here and there but not much. Group games have been getting a lot of attention over the last 6 months (see Tvivor, Tbrother, u-decide, carlyjordans game, etc. These games became big and even brought players from OUTSIDE the website, even when the website was "broken". These group games/orgs played a decently sized role in spreading tengaged to other communties. One reason I believe these are so popular are because of the recent prizes and the ability to bring the site together as a whole (people discuss on blogs their favorite contestants, etc. It seems group games are as popular as ever. I have even witnessed a growing number of people transitioning over to group games. Some of which have been on Tengaged for years and vowed to never play group games.
I think you took a great step when johneh was games coordinator. He had a few others, including myself, Aquamarine, Dane_Williams, and a few others host games for T$. This was pretty popular for the few weeks it was a legitimate thing. There are a handful of users who have been hosting for several years, some even hosting as long as I have been hosting. 6 years is a long time! The only issues is we cannot promise real life prizes to every single winner of the games. I personally have hosted 50 long term seasons. Do a 10 dollar prize for each, it's 500 dollars. I think a huge step for the group game community is to get a games coordinator, specifically for group games. There are a number of very qualified and unbiased people that have proven their integrity over the years of hosting. Some that would be thrilled and honored to give the group game community the recognition it deserves. T$ prizes for a select few professional hosts could also be an option. I like the people Johneh chose, but they were not actual hosts. There are people who have been hosting for years that would be more qualified.
I'm not sure the process this would take as you may not be familiar with the group game community, but I can say it is the one aspect of this season that has gotten the least amount of attention since they began. We all appreciate the updates throughout the years, such as the ability to write specific tribe names and make eliminated players' pictures black/white. However I just cannot see how it compares to the rest of this site.
I think this would be fairly easy to implement as you have done it before and it does not require much coding. Just a matter of funding the T$ prizes and finding responsible people (I have played nearly every host's game on this site. Ive played more than 200 group games so I know who is reliable and is not.)
ONE SOLUTION to the funding ts, is allow hosts to give their OWN ts out. i know a lot of hosts dont care for ts and are willing to give their own ts out as prizes.
Please just think about this. I know there is a whole group game community who feel similar. Thanks Randomize!
The best time was when Jubbzy was the games coordinator. This isn't because Johneh was a bad games coordinator at all, but it was because of the limited power that Johneh was given when he had the position. Jubbzy was able to host group games, special games, etc. and actually give out extra T$ prizes for them since he had a higher amount that he could give out, where Johneh's was extremely limited, unfortunately.
brandonpinzu 100% agree, jubbzy was amazing. If randomize can find someone dedicated and familiar with group games and similar things, i think it could work for sure.
gaiaphagee the only problem with that is that it makes it difficult for new hosts to start, because people would rather play in these big name group games for T$. Newer hosts would have a LOT harder time getting applicants. Love the idea tho
mudndawilderness def a idea but i honestly have not seen many new hosts get recognition anyways. plus i think there will always be some group gamers who just play for the fun. if only a handful of hosts can give out ts then there will be numerous people NOT in games with no game to play. so they will play the non known games while they wait for an open spot . i dont think people will not play at all.

WSome small changes that I as a group host would LOVE to see
1. Fix the image section. Some images are too small, too large, wrong format and you have to open it in paint or photoshop and change the image so that it can upload to Tengaged. Be amazing if this was not a step that needed to be taken and any image, no matter size or format, could be uploaded.
2. Delete all buttons. Delete all forums, pictures, polls buttons would be a time saver.
3. More room in the group bio section. I like to host large games sometimes (One had over 100 players) and there is only so much room allowed in the bio section so lengthening that would be amazing.
4. Maybe a search group games part in the groups section?
5. a larger player section. Groups are expanding and 20 players is not enough to show them all. Would be nice to up it to like 30 players. Cause I get annoyed getting mailed by players asking why they are not shown in the front page and complaining.
6. Hosts get paid!!! Bloggers, gamers, shop owners, designers, etc. all get money for their work. Group game hosts don't get a penny. I would like to see a system where group game hosts get paid ts for their games. And to avoid just mass amounts of people making group games to get paid ts have something where only the top 20 group game hosts get money, that way you are sure that only active groups get the money.
7. Please, for the love of jesus, fix the hacking. People come in and hack group games and kick out all the members, it is fucking annoying.
But I also agree with Gaia that it would be nice to have payouts for some games and could you vet the coordinator? Like check their blogs, games, etc to make sure they won't abuse their powers an stuff. But Gaia is right, I don't give a shit about my ts, the only time I spend them is to make ads for my group game so even if there was this option at the start of a group game where the host could submit a number of their ts before the game starts and then it is awarded to the winner.
OR
There could be buy ins. Say like players pay 1-5 ts to play a game. It gets pooled into one and the winner gets all the ts.
Also, it would be great if there could be a way to get Karma through group games. I don't really like Survivor (the non-group version) and can never seem to make merge because I don't know the hacks that other contestants do. So being able to get karma via group games would be amazing.
I like that idea blatastic1234
But what about the people who don't have any $ to play? Or white level players. That can't bet on winners I get money like the rest of us can. I know white level players that are good people that want to get to know this site but they would be limited if they had to pay to play
My biggest issue with group games is the forum style, having to refresh the page every second especially in live challenges is awful. It'd be so much better to have either a built in tengaged chat or something like the format of a casting in groups?

THIS randomize i have been wanting this feature for a long time

Yup, I agree with this. I used to host group games when Jubbzy was the group games coordinator, and I was able to give out T$.
It's a great incentive to get people to sign up, and a great way to reward those who deserve the win. It would even change the way people play when there's actually a prize involved
Welcome to the final 6 veto competition, we're going to be taking a trip down memory lane this game, please proceed to the first ever blog of the person who won last season
