This is to randomize, who from what I understand is the creator of this great place. It has come to my attention that people can lay dormant a whole game, and in the last minutes of the game "spam" the hell out of the public comment area in order to win. What I propose is that somehow someone cannot send more than 3 public and 3 private messages at once, in order to avoid these cheaters. Vote positive for me if you agree. And feel free to add your thoughts.

And at once I mean within the period of an hour. This also adds to the strategy, and carefully picking what to say when.

i dont think you should be limited to talking but i think that the algorithm should penalize someone who talks more than 3 times in a row without anyone responding back to them
well, he was a spammer, he lost his karma and got 0th because he spammed, lol, but i dont think that is good, because sometimes you can get on much in a day, so some people talk to themselves, since nobody is on when they are, so they wont get nominated, and sometimes when a fight is goign on, someone just logs on, and is reading the comments, and quickly makes a few comments, before anyone else can, but i do think inactive people should be penalized
Seriously, though, SlowMoving, You know it isn't fair. Yes you get your karma and money, but you really make a lot of people remember how you play. So, unless you're happy spamming the Casting games at the last minute, I would recommend not spamming anymore, because if even one person who has played a casting game with you is in a Rookies game with you, you're out. However, I haven't experienced it first hand and I hold no grudge, and actually look forward to playing a game with you in the future. Just looking out for you and the integrity of the website.
I think inactives and people who spam THE SAME MESSAGE more than three times should be penalized. It has to be the consistent repetition of the same thing, within a restrictive time frame that is penalized. Not every time someone says l.o.l. twice in an hour.
I think this is a great discussion and I think randomize should be involved. I'm not saying I'll leave if it isn't changed, just saying how I think this game could be more fair. There are enough ways to play the game here without commenting on everything, such as rating, alliances, and other things. This, I feel, crosses the line, saying something like I HOPE I WIN 40,000 times 30 seconds before a winner is determined simply is not fair.
Right. Just to be clear, everyone, what I'm saying is blocking or penalizing someone from saying THE SAME THING MULTIPLE TIMES within a given time frame. So let's say an hour, well, you can't say, I'M GOING TO WIN 38 times in that hour. You can only say that 3 times in that hour before being penalized or blocked from talking for the remainder of that hour. 3 times is a good amount, because if you accidentally double post, like I did once, you don't get in trouble. A triple post is very unlikely.
Oh really. Because NoseyJohn's game just ended with SlowMoving doing that in the final minutes. So, obviously it isn't automated. It should be done by the computer, before the game ends.
I basically agree with many of the things said and there will be some corrections based on what has been said here.
Let me first explain that "spamming" on a game doesn't give you more chances to win. Against popular believe, sending lots of messages don't directly count positively by the algorithm unless someone has voted "up" those messages, at the same time voting negatively spam messages have a much greater impact.
If anyone is spamming with messages during last minutes of the game and someone else is voting some of those messages negatively, the spammer will surely endup in last positions. So, it's important to vote negatively too.
We are constantly changing how the algorithm selects winners, nominees etc to do it as fair as possible. Actually the algorithm is taking into consideration around 50 different variables and basically all your comments are a great feedback to improve it.
We are also about to add some automatic filtering mechanism in games to avoid flooding a game with repetitive messages or automatic message delivery, etc.
randomize plz check ur mail............. becuz the algorithm has chosen the same ppl throughout my games for HOH....... they spam and help each other out..... so they get HOH and they have gotten it 5 times
And not by the same thing over and over. You can actually have conversations with people, be rated, and then survive that way. Not saying the same thing 30 times.
there are two ppl in my game that spam constantly...... saying the smallest and randomest things and give each other positives........
maybe they are really chatty ............ but 15 pages of comments in one hour? and they each give each other positives......... so guess who keeps getting hohs lol
it is and they won it all 5 times......... but the bad thing is since they have the power every1 else..... is scared to give them negatives.......... becuz they are like........ if we get negatives ur going to be nominated........... like i rlly don't care since this is my third time being nominated by them........ but its just getting old......
The bottom line is, both of you are obviously good players. But spamming should not cause either of you to lose after strategizing long and hard throughout the game.
lol I am sorry, but this is funny! We were having a conversation Bubbly and not trying to win HoH we just became friends and liked to talk to each other and the HoHs were just happening. :p And then you are your friends started spamming like crazy and we didn't want to spam (it would of been nice if we all could have had conversations so it would be hard to tell who was going to win HoH, but you and your friends like to come on the last minute and spam like crazy) but we had to because we knew if we didn't you all would give us the boot because it was obvious from the start that you were all friends! :)
I don't remember if you did or not, but your friends did and so we had to play dirty too. It's part of the game! Did you think we'd just sit there and watch you spam to get HoH?
I have been told by randomize himself antispam filters are going to be implemented in the near future. So, like it or not, winning by spamming is over and the game is going to be fairer!
