Basically, we discussed what were Survivor/BB's worst moments in terms of producing the show. Twists dont count unless they were really, really shoe horned. I want to start the list with HM's here before I go into the top 5
Survivor HM: No punishment for Rupert Boneham in PI despite putting his hand's on JFP, and in an obviously hurtful manner, around his neck. I put this low because, being honest, the rest are far, far worst.
BB HM: Throwing in the Reset when Frank was about to get evicted. Can someone say Allison playing favorites? Yeah, but with what BB has done and gotten away with, Im not as sour with this as some of their other "bright" ideas.
BB HM: Dick getting away with burning Jen and all the mental/emotional abuse
Survivor HM: Jonathan Libby and another woman not getting picked for a tribe and thus being eliminated
SurvivorFan37 well, lets just say that Fiji's fake merge is #7. Srry, but the rest of the list has worse fuck ups then that. This is clear breaking of the rules and the law. how can it not be mentioned. As for BB, jus wait and see and expect the unexpected.
if we're going off of letting people do things that should be against the rules then russell hantz not getting punished for destroying personal property should be on the list because that is clear favoritism
but i don't mind it as much as i mind some other stuff so otherwise i'd not have brought it up
bottle twist, using the RI/returnee format once, reusing the RI/returnee format TWICE, and the micro f3->f2 all come to mind. also the final three
zimdelinvasor I tried to avoid using bad twists, because often production has nothing to do with it failing. as for Micro, its somewhat forgiveable with James's health constantly being a lingering issue. Bottle twist has nothing to do with fucking over raro, aitu would have gotten the same if they lost. Its a stretch to call RI returnee format a mistake but hey. My list, my opinion. We are all entitled to one.
Flamelord I think a twist that is fundamentally flawed counts as a production mistake. At any rate, I hope to see the /return/ of RI and returnees for season 23 on the list, because that was after they experimented in season twenty-two and got the most universally hated series in the history of the show... and they still chose to repeat the things that nobody at all wanted to see. That is a total failure on their part.
I could go on and on about how the bottle twist could never have done /anything/ but benefit Aitu, and of course how I've heard of multiple Raro members saying that the bottle was almost definitely switched for them vs what it would have been for aitu - but that's beside the point since I'm still not totally sure what the aim of this list actually is.
And James's health did not necessitate a final two in any way whatsoever.
