First off, a quick summary of the rules:
I'll give a genre each round and you private message (NOT comment) a song from that unknown genre of music. They go up for public vote. You are eliminated if you don't submit a song or get the most votes to evict.
Genre #1: Ectofolk
I literally couldn't find a decent definition of this genre so here goes nothing. Basically, it is a style of folk/indie music that is named after the ecto mailing lists. Sound wise, singer/songwriter Happy Rhodes made an album called "ecto" and artists that have similar styles to that album are known as ectofolk musicians. The best place to find artists of this genre is on Spotify.
DISCLAIMER: I will start with genres that are more pleasant to listen to, but as we go on, the genres will become less and less pleasant to listen to and also harder to find.
SONG RULE: First person to submit the song takes it. If you submit the same song someone else submitted before you, you must find a new song.
