EyooMarcus jacksonjoseph99 you're assuming the word cares about systematic history which it doesn't. If you want to change the meaning of the word like people are trying to do with gender then that is fine, do that but the definition of the word is to discriminate against someone of a different race, so the only thing you can't be is racist to your own race. If you choose black people over white people because you are black yourself then that is racism. If you don't like white people and you yourself are not white then that is racism.
I think it's disgusting to not like people of a certain race, regardless of what race that is. The meaning behind words change with time, people on tengaged of all places should know that, look what happened to the word "gay" so it's possible in time, racism could be only used when talking about minorities or races with a history but then again i'd like to think by the time that can happen, racism would be almost gone anyway.

eyoomarcus i think it can be both! obviously structural racism is a bigger problem overall but i dont think either kind is ok
