the skinny lil bellhop on next season of Survivor, DOESN'T get the growth storyline
Like Aubry and David are glowing examples of it done right, they both morph from this person completely in over their head to these strategic masterminds controlling the entire merge. They're like battle hardened by the game and it's genuinely very compelling, I think they're both VERY good characters, Aubry being one of my favorites of all time and I believe David managed to slither his way into my top 30.
That being said, I dont want this to be a copy and paste story arc. I dont want them to cast the weak little nerd character every single season, it seems like they may do this same storyline with Ryan, and it's just too soon. I don't want this genuine, powerful, entertaining arc to just be a common thing, and im really bad at first impressions like this but as of now Ryan seems to lack the charisma Aubry and Big Dick Dave possess that make them pull it off successfully.
Ryan strikes me as more Cochran and less Dave/Aubry (and dont get me wrong, I know im in the minority but I fucking love Cochran). Cochran and Dave/Aubry are NOT similar characters just because they're all nerdy. Cochran is the court jester, the guy no one including himself believes in and is there to score some laughs. Despite winning he never really evolves into this powerful Survivor behemoth, he remains this goofy little sock puppet. My impression of Ryan is that he kind of more belongs in this Cochran camp, but production may try and turn him into a Dave/Aubry, and I just really hope that's not the case.
Ekatherinna Yep, it was kinda awkward at first but Probst just started calling him that one day, he whipped it out for the camera to see (obviously it was blurred), but it was like 2 feet,thing was a monster, Big Dick Dave is a legend
Moonfelar That early comment was a complete lie I pulled out of my ass. Well the nickname "Big Dick" actually kinda started with Ken. Ken has a large bulge, so some people started calling him Big Dick Ken. Being a memorable duo with Ken, Redditors just started calling it the Big Dick alliance, since Ken's cock and David's ballsy moves and idol plays. This, Big Dick Ken, Big Dick Dave, and I also like to personally throw in Big Dick Jess aswell.
