I drive home from work through the capitol of my state on an elevated cloverleaf freeway every day. There is one part of this massively huge elevated freeway that crosses over 10 busy freeway lanes below. As I was crawling along in this bumper to bumper traffic jam at quitting time, my car was at a standstill way up high in the air next to this big truck and trailer rig. We were at a slant up in the air and I could feel this freeway in the sky start to tremble. I'm looking down from God knows how high and this truck starts to release and then reset his air brakes and that makes the road tremble even more. It's also windy as hell and this whole concrete structure is actually swaying with the weight of all these cars on it.
As I start to feel a little panic attack starting I am having a conversation in my head that's telling me that it's ridiculous to think this freeway is going to collapse because of the wind. We had an earthquake in the southern part of our state a few days ago and I tell myself that is why I can't wait to get my car off this elevated freeway and on solid ground.
There is no point to this blog if you are waiting for one. I just wanted to tell someone about the highlight of my day yesterday.
