Christian ( christian_) - "Respect" Covered by Aretha Franklin
Mike - First thing's first. ARETHA ATE OTIS UP!!!! I forget this isn't her song tbh...could've fooled me. Mama did what had to be done and what a way to start of this round of submissions. I can already tell it's gonna be a close battle. Great job!
Darrius - I love Arethas rendition of this song, she is definitely a legend and will always be missed. This is such a classic and if someone doesnt know this song that sucks for them.
Austin F ( austino15fffan) - "Blinding Lights" Covered by The Naked & Famous
Mike - well excuse the hell out of me!! I was not expecting this at all and I'm glad to say I am pleasantly surprised. I feel like she made her own and added a little bit of flare to it. Giving props where it's due, good job!
Darrius - Wait they completely changed how the song and it worked!! The song is very fast paced and I love the slow down + the different production. I really enjoyed this cover and I don鈥檛 think I was expecting to so good job.
Pinkie ( pinkiepie512) - "Pretty Hurts" Covered by Chloe x Halle
Mike - So you can obviously hear how young they sound at the time of this cover. Their voices are SO MUCH BETTER now and I kinda wish you went with a different cover to capture that for them. Don't get me wrong, they still sound soooo good but I think a different choice could've secured you 10s across the board
Darrius - YES PINKIE!!! This is my favorite cover that they did, they did Beyonce so much justice with this and is the reason why she decided to sign them to her label. Chloes voice holds so much power and its so impressive. Halle鈥檚 voice is so angelic.

Paige ( paige54) - "Emotions" Covered by Ariana Grande
Mike - Go awffff Ms. Grande. Such a great choice of a cover for this round. After last week I'm glad to pulled this one out. It'll maybe even get you your second win...we'll see ;)
Darrius - EATTTTT, To cover a Mariah Carey song is a CHALLENGE. But Ari at this up as we knew she would. I love this song, it always puts me in a great mood and makes me wanna bop my head LOL. And the vocal serve ???? Cmon!
Sub ( sublegendd) - "My Heart Will Go On" Covered by Jessie J
Mike - Wowwwwwww. Im speechless.....in my comments last week I said I was waiting for you to have that moment and I think this was it. Jessie J has such a beautiful and powerful voice and this was a flawless cover. I got chills listening to this!!
Darrius - YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS. THIS IS IT!!!!! When I say she BODIEDDDDD thisss coverrrr. Jessies J is so powerful, so soulful. She even put her own twist on some of the parts. I love this song, but her voice on this song just happens to eat miss Celine鈥檚. Great Job.
Andrew ( iigalaxyii) - "Titanium" Covered by Christina Grimmie (RIP)
Mike - Wow wow wow wow. The piano, the emotion, the vocals!! All a serve. Such a beautiful soul. Rip Christina. All of it was just very raw and powerful and deserves nothing less than a perfect score!
Darrius - UGHHH SHE WAS TAKEN TOO SOON. When I tell you this was my favorite cover that she ever did !!! She took that song and really made it hers. WOW, I couldn鈥檛 even type my critiques during that because I was so glued in to my screen. Great Job!

Now...to the Bottom 3 :
Emily ( emzthorne) - "Doin' Time" Covered by Lana Del Ray
Mike - It's very mystique and a nice little vibe. It put me into a nice little grove. I'd never heard it before though so thank you for the introduction
Darrius - Lana del ray doesnt ever really do it for me. I liked the song, but that鈥檚 about it. I found myself falling asleep a little during it.
Silver ( silver09) - "Love on The Brain" Covered by Little Mix
Mike - Soo I loveeeeeee little mix but there's something about this that feels rushed and not all the way there. Like everytime I feel like it's about to take off something pulls it back. Idk what it is...I was expecting to give this a 10 but it just doesn't feel right
Darrius - I will say I think I prefer Rihannas version but this was not bad. The harmonies were on point as always but a part of me feels like they kinda over-sung the song in parts that shouldve remained the same. Beautiful ladies and beautiful voices though.
Austin Minaj ( itsaustin) - "The Scientist" Covered by Holly Henry
Mike - Awww i love her voice. This was a very beautiful cover, very delicate. As a whole it wasn't too much or too little, it was just right. solid choice!
Darrius - I think her voice adds something new to the song because its so unique. The song is already beautiful as it is but her voice alone adds a twist. It did get a little boring and lacked excitement, I remember saying bring your BEST because you never know what could happen.
So with that being said.....the contestant going home is.....Emily. So sorry but your submission this week was outshined by the others. Love you babes.
