is it true that Covid research improved HIV studies?

That's just weird if 1 year can make a huge difference in 30+ years of HIV research...

its also a matter of like... the AMOUNT of research done on covid in that one year and the FUNDING that went to it is insane. if HIV research got that amount of funding and attention we'd probably have gotten a cure a long time ago but..... and i hate to say it....... its killing a lot of gay people and people of colour so its not an issue to the government
