accounting question

Apr 16, 2021 by CocoVanderbilt
Recording the cost of annual maintenance by debiting the manufacturing machines account(SOFP) at cost would result in:
over/understatement of noncurrent assets AND over or understatement of profit??

which one is the correct? i think overstatement of non-current assets and understatement of profit

Comments

answerable mikec51 andrea15 so i managed to find the answer and i was right.
by debiting an expense you basically overstate the NCA and by overstating the NCA, you understate the profit
