Group Game Blog Tag!

Going to use a similar idea to noobsmoke13, but directed for group game hosts since they are really undervalued in this world.

GROUP GAME TAG QUESTIONS
==========================
1. What has been your best group game hosting experience and why?
The best experience I had hosting was probably the final 2 seasons of my Survivor franchise. It was over the course of 7 years and a total of 50 seasons. I really wanted to pack the final part of my series with the best gameplay possible so I contacted every single winner and a lot of my favorite non-winners, and we built a 40-person "Last Chance" style season of non-winners, and a 27-person "Champions" game. The dedication of the over 60 people in those 2.5 months of Survivor play is easily the most enjoyable.

2. What has been your worst group game hosting experience and why?
It would have to be the finish of my 43rd season, Survivor:Indonesia. We had a twist that featured former winners as "coaches", similar to Big Brother 14. One of the coaches had used a multi to compete, and would manipulate other players throughout the game. This player managed to be exposed at the finale, and it forced me to nullify the FTC and have the jury revote (since the exposed player was going to be the initial winner).

3. What is your favorite group game you have hosted?
Too many great games come to mind. My champions game was great, last chances was amazing, the debut of Gen 3 Cagayan still stands as one of my all-time favorite games I have ever witnessed either online or on television. The Gen 2 finale "winners vs losers" stands out as it is the rare game to feature a 3-time winner and a few 2-time winners in the same cast battling it out. I also have a fondness for my 10th season, Good vs Evil (a play on Heroes vs Villains), which featured 25 returning players to celebrate 1 year of Cmack's Survivor.

4. Who is/are your favorite player(s)?
In alphabetic/numerical order, these are my top 10 all-time: andthentherewasone, BBlover96, Gaiaphagee, @jag0827, magge555550101, Mearl, RShowFreak, terose, TheSexiestDude990, and titan24maniac

5. What is your favorite challenge you ever hosted?
Pass the Torch (Tribal), Survivor Auction (Individual)

6. If you are no longer hosting, would you ever return...if you are still hosting, do you see an end in sight?
I have given many thoughts over the last few years whether or not I would ever return to hosting in some capacity. While I would love to return, I feel like hosting a Cmack's Survivor game would ultimately cheapen the value of the way it ended in 2017. I am open to potentially hosting games again, maybe not on Tengaged though.

7. What is your favorite elimination?
I should label this "eliminations", simply because one fateful night in June of 2015, I saw 4 eliminations in the same evening, and it was one of my favorite moments, elimination or not, that ever took place in my time hosting. Link: https://cmackssurvivor.fandom.com/wiki/A_Night_to_Remember

8. What is some advice you would give to younger hosts who don't have much experience?
Never stop trying to improve your games. One thing I regret was focusing too heavily on twists during my first generation and I changed it up to focus more on the players themselves. Ultimately, the players make the game...not the twist, not the fans, not even the host. The players dictate how a game begins and how a game ends. I enjoyed my time hosting so much that it kills me to look back and see how much I sucked early on, but I managed to build a long-lasting series that I hope people look back on and enjoyed.
