To discuss the merits of the situation with my team when they come online. Seeing as they aren't here and the decision takes half a second to enact, I was willing to do it.
I was kindly approached by a user to be removed from a filling game. I did so. If it's a "abuse of power" to fulfill the request of a user who made a mistake, then so be it.
I'm not perfect. Nor would I ever claim to be. MOST of you have valid criticisms on both sides of the fence and i'm receptive to it and i'll be bringing up these points when it comes time for a discussion. Thanks.
can i have my old account back pls? i have an orange nose and can literally do nothing on this website. i contacted the moderation email (as was told to me by a user) and haven’t received any update.
U absolutely ruined my life because of this my house burned down and I will be expecting compensation for the loss of my property, the ongoing trauma, and the case of hysterical pregnancy this has caused me to have
His reasoning was invalid though, I’m not coming at your abilities to be a mod but what you did is definitely you to spark a lot of criticism, especially because his reasoning was invalid, he joined and saw that he wasn’t going to do good (or so he thought) and decided to bail. Everyone is going to want that now so it’s a bit problematic

Jessie_ I haven't been approached by them, and seeing the sudden hesitance in me making what should have been a very simple and routine call backfire, i'll be holding off now.
I don't think they have the power to freely remove someone from a game, but the only work around it is banning them for 10 seconds to get them out of the game. Midiaw
Thanks! I didn't know it was you when posting my blog, though I'll say this sort of thing is a common mistake I can understand (as I had the same thought process when doing so myself two years ago)
The idea behind removing players from games is debatable, though it isn't exactly productive with how Tengaged is set up (and currently functions). The site doesn't have an abundant amount of players. I hear this was a function with the Duel that some believe caused the downfall of the game. This probably isn't something we'd want going forward with other games, it would make sense to leave games as is, and IF players happen to make a mistake and join a game, that is their issue.
From a Moderation perspective, this is a waste of time and just opens so many issues for you guys that aren't really needed nor is required. People will demand you to do so all the time. It will become more a chore than just something done out of the kindness of yourself. As you and the others have mentioned, the Moderators are not around 24/7. It is fair to think that if you can't accommodate this for all players during all games at all times, it brings up the idea that is this action fair?
To summarise, it isn't a huge issue. I only took offence at the users double standards (though I guess it did end up being a hate train)... I thought I'd offer my advice from someone who dealt with this to you. Hopefully, in future, you can talk to the others or not do the said again until done so (even if the game starts).
Whether I am correct or not is up for debate, just putting my opinion out there! :)
Tbh its still fixable. Either force Galaxies to rejoin HG and accept his initial decision to join a game like every player should or ban him for 3 days just like if he said a bannable word to unenroll himself from a game.
Again, if this situation became normal then all of tg would shower you in requests making your jobs way more time demanding and also it would decrease tg games activity given that they can now unenroll (refer to the Duel as example).
I did something similar but it wasn’t on purpose I was in a call and jokingly someone asked me to ban them for 2 hours or something like that because that used to be an option so I was like ok sure not even realizing they were waiting on a survivor tribe to face LOL I then tried to ban the rest to get them all out of the game but didn’t get them all before the next game started and had some angry folks :(. What was meant to be funny ended badly but I know that’s not what happened here. Only thing I can say is if you open it up you will have people constantly bugging you because oh no a premade joined but I don’t think it’s all that bad that you did it just my opinion
Honestly the people of tengaged are such babies. What you did didn't harm anyone. Everyone else needs to sit down and relax. Bunch of babies looking for reasons to criticize
