I was just given troubling news by coreyants that ROCKED my world. Mike Boogie and Dr. Will were approached to run a season of The Amazing Race together, but Will declined as I expected he would simply because he is too focused on real life to want to involve himself in reality television anymore. Mike, however, didn't take the news gently and started sending threatening texts to Dr. Will as well as photos that indicated that Dr. Will's family would be harmed. More information about Mike Boogie's dangerous behavior can be found at these links:
I am sufficiently freaked out now. Boogie seemed a overly dominant and controlling during Big Brother 7, yes, but I NEVER imagined he was capable of behaving in such a dangerous way. I wonder if Mike Boogie is actually a sociopath who is now just revealing himself?
My mom and I applied for Season 2 and 3 of The Amazing Race Canada, but we didn't get on and my mom can't physically do such a thing like that anymore, but that's fine. I didn't and would absolutely never get freaked out about it to the point where I would threaten her or other family members. The Amazing Race is just a game and Dr. Will has already "done his bit for king and country" as far as reality television goes. He has done Big Brother twice with one victory on the books; Love Shack, Bravo's Battle of the Network Reality Stars, appeared on the 'Big Brother Edition' of the Price is Right to play for charity, and he was on other shows for quite a long period of time before he became a family man. He has had his fame, enjoyed it, and wants to move on now, so I don't blame him for just wanting to settle down into a normal life with his family. I think Will has a right to do that, as do we all when it happens for us.
Mike Boogie, however, is like the kid who wants to rely on an old moment of fame for as long as he can even after everyone has moved on. He had his fun with ChillTown during Big Brother and wants to move it into other shows. His inability to understand and/or accept Will's desire to leave the past in the past is unsettling and I'm so glad that he never actually harmed Will or his family. Can you imagine the chaos that would have erupted had Mike Boogie actually done what he threatened to do? Mike really needs to accept that people move on from their past and so should he. The fact that this incident even happened shows that Mike isn't mentally capable of accepting reality and probably needs some serious mental health help.
