Akeria just sent me this little message and they are of the belief that women aren't anything but maids and/or babymakers. I believe that women are so much more than that and that there is more to women than those domestic roles. There are women who do not or cannot have families or never have the opportunity to get married, but they don't let that stop them from living happy, productive lives. Those who do get married and have or adopt children are not supposed to take superior/inferior roles in the relationship or parenthood; everyone is supposed to give their best effort even when times are tough. In the holy scriptures, God has stated that men and women are helpmeets and equal; the woman was made from Adam's rib and that is a symbol that they are shielded by the protections husbands are supposed to give wives while gaining strength to go and do from the emotion that the heart represents. Men and women are equal and should find joy in each other and also in what they can contribute to the world as individuals. I feel sorry for Akeria that they have such antiquated views, as it will limit the joy they themselves can get out of love and life.
