During last night's episode of Hell's Kitchen, a contestant named Chris quit the competition because of personal struggles with mental illness and when he went to talk to Ramsay's sous chef, she was very encouraging about his need to keep himself out of his 'dark place' and told him to do what he needed for himself. The sous chef immediately brought the situation to Chef Ramsay and Chef Ramsay was very understanding of the situation; he encouraged Chris to go and get help, even offering to help him find someone to talk to. I hope the contestant got the help he needed and I commend Chef Ramsay for being supportive. A lot of people don't like Gordon Ramsay, but there is really so much good that the man has done in his life despite growing up in terrible circumstances, so I can't help but like him.
