I just finished my rewatch of Total Drama Action, and I'm going to do a ranking of the fifteen competitors.

#10. Izzy/Kaliedescope/Explosivo/Esquire
Aaaaaaah, Izzy. I love Izzy in all three seasons, but we're getting to the point where I like all of the remaining contestants. She's the best form of comic relief, doing and saying things that no other contestant would ever do. The reason why I have to drop her at the top ten is that she didn't grow much as a character during the series.
I'm not a pretentious asshole who tries to find meaning in a cartoon show, but I have a soft spot for character development. Take Trent, who's still in the ranking. He was "Mr. Perfect" in TDI, and thus a very boring character. But in TDA, we saw a lot more negative aspects of him... most people say that it's bad, but it really added to him as a whole and made him even easier to root for.
Izzy has never been anything BUT comic relief. She had a few soft moments with Owen, but most of those were soft on Owen's part. She's crazy and kooky and fun, and she definitely made the show better, but there was SO much more that could be done with her. Just imagine if she had flashes where she WASN'T crazy but was actually sane. Moment's of humanity and shit. Or if one of her multiple personalities started to rebel against the others. There's an entire epic storyline that could be explored with Izzy, but sadly, she was reduced to just having one-liners.
These next few people are the "Lost causes" of TDA, those who had good storylines and characters but could have gotten even BETTER if they had been explored more. I love love love love love Izzy for the humor she brought to the show, but I just wish that she could have had some form of substance behind it, because that would have made it even BETTER. It hurts me to put her so low, but in comparison with everybody left, who were much more fleshed out as characters, she was nothing more than just a comic relief device.
I agree with this. Izzy was so awesome this season but she only lasted a short period of time and was too minor to have much of an impact. I feel like the writers of this show should have given Izzy more of a role across all the seasons especially since she is so well received and I freaking love her but I think this is a good place for her
