karolusmagnus while I think these blogs about best player are always objective and kind of pointless, not every player who excels at survivor lacks in strategic ability. I went on a 51 merge streak previously after starting out merging down 3 to 7, merging into a tribe of people whom I had never met before, and I was no better in challenges than any of them.
I've done that twice as well on my current merge streak, once very early on, once fairly recently, and I'm still in. There are lots of people on this site who are able to merge in minority and work their way back to the top. BengalBoy and Pepper come to mind the most for me when I think about people who seem best at that. Yes, they are great in challenges, but they also have strategy on their side. Lots of people who are good at challenges don't make it far in survivor, it's not just limited to challenge ability.

Not saying that I'm not the best at this, but if you can't work your way into a merge when you're down numbers, then you shouldn't be considered a great survivor.
