Caitlin is the Psychic type Elite 4 member in the games Black, White, Black 2 & White 2, and honestly, I consider Caitlin to be the toughest Elite 4 member to defeat in Unova, but let's be real, all of the Unova elite 4 are tough to beat. Anyways, Caitlin's team in all those said games consists of Reuniclus, Sigilyph, Musharna & Gothitelle, which you may think just grab a Dark type and you can easily defeat her, but well, that's not the case at all. Since Reuniclus has Focus Blast which can easily KO a Dark type if not careful, plus alongside Reuniclus having good base defenses, it'd probably manage to live a hit. That's one thing that makes her team dangerous, is all four of her pokemon are bulky and have potential to do decent damage, barring maybe the Musharna, which the Musharna is more just a support pokemon for Caitlin's team with having Reflect, but even that can still potentially gain special attack boosts with Charge Beam, then you have Gothitelle that can set up Calm Mind. Then Sigilyph can potentially cause flinches with Air Slash. Then most her team also has Shadow Ball to handle Ghost types, so I'd still say Dark types are the best type to use against Caitlin for sure, since they are immune to Psychic, but you still got to tread carefully, especially around the Reuniclus with Focus Blast. I'd honestly even go to say that Caitlin has the strongest team out of every single elite 4 member on this ranking. However, out of the three left, I liked Caitlin's character design the least, although her design is still my favorite one out of the Unova elite 4 members. Overall, Caitlin is amazing, and she actually starts as being frontier brain of Battle Castle in the Battle Frontier area of Platinum, Heart Gold & Soul Silver, to later become an Elite 4 member in the Unova games. Caitlin just was never in contention for my #1 spot like the other 2 left, so that is why I chose to ultimately give Caitlin 3rd in the end.
