HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF MENTAL HEALTH? People can get treated for it and actually become better people. If guns were illegal nobody would’ve died in the first place. So yes your logic is disgusting sam_hamwich
bluejay7622 he literally shot himself in the head once he couldn't kill anyone else so i doubt he was gonna get treated for mental health
if guns were illegal then it would have just stopped the good guys from having guns to stop it. The kid trying to shoot up a school isnt gonna stop because there's a law against buying a gun from him in stores (which there already is if you have a mental health past, a past in prison, etc)
bluejay7622 walmart or not you still need to follow all the basic processes of buying a gun, which is a list that goes on and on. You can't walk in and walk out in 5 minutes with a gun, you have to wait for them to call you after they get the FBI background check back if/when you're deemed okay to buy a gun. The idea that you can just pick a gun up off a shelf is a JOKE
I read this wrong lol Sam_Hamwich has a point if the kid was going to shoot people I am glad he was shot down. Id rather it not occur at all but in this situation it was better than the kid shooting and killing ten people and then dying
rawr121 im not arguing for stricter gun laws, I'm saying that I support trained school administrators being able to carry in school to prevent shootings from taking place/limiting the time a person has before being taken down
if stricter gun laws are put in place, the kid would have still gotten a gun and still could have went to that school and shot people. But if said stricter laws prohibited the administrator from having a gun to take him down then the kid could have killed dozens more people before being stopped
Death sucks either way but it’s better for 1 crazy kid who is trying to murder people to be killed rather than dozens of innocent people. Mental health rehab can’t cure CRAZY
i just dont get why you think it would be harder for a school administrator to get a gun than an 18 year old?
Like I just dont get why you want LESS barriers to barr potentially bad people from owning guns. These stricter gun laws would help ENSURE that only GOOD citizens would get access to guns in such an easy way. You claim that they would still find a way, but why dont we let them try???? Like why would you want them to have an easy way to get guns, because thats what is happening right now. Why not atleast make them STRUGGLE to get a gun, because without stricter gun laws we are letting mentally unstable and dangerous people get access to guns, and while most people are law-abiding, it takes one bad purchase to decimate lives.
rawr121 because school shooters aren't getting guns by following the laws that are in place, they get them illegally. So if you make the gun laws stricter, they can still get them illegally bc you aren't changing the process in which they are getting them already. You're changing the process in which law-abiding citizens are getting their guns. What "stricter gun laws" do you want in place? Let's start with that, since the term "stricter gun laws" is very broad
@Bluegay7622 yet the snowflake liberal ideas of banning guns idea is this: get rid of guns so that LESS people will be killed??? PEOPLE KILL NOT GUNS. you’re contradicting yourself in this post.
danger Parkland wasn't the most recent shooting, or the deadliest. Sutherland Springs shooting killed more people (26 dead, 20 injured on November 5th, 2017), at a church in Texas. Last Tuesday, Great Mills High School was shot up by a 17 year old where he was only able to shoot 2 people before being stopped.
You know the reason that you haven't heard about them? Because they were both stopped by a man with a gun, and showing that on the news doesn't help push their agenda. The students getting shot at Parkland was a horrible thing and no one is ever saying that should happen, but the fact is that people and news outlets are using that incident to manipulate people into believing their side of the debate.
