Chelsea Townsend is a former NBA and NFL cheerleader and castaway from Survivor: Ghost Island and was a member of the Naviti tribe.
Although quiet and under edited, Chelsea found herself secure on the dominant Naviti tribe, whom went on an early winning streak, keeping her safe at the first two tribals. On Day 7, Chelsea was swapped to the new Malolo tribe, where she remained in the majority with her former Navitis, sending home Brendan and Steph back to back. Chelsea was instrumental in targeting Brendan and getting her alliance to stick to that plan. On Day 10, the tribes were split into 3 and Chelsea returned to the Naviti tribe, along with Domenick and Bradley. Domenick and Chelsea became increasingly annoyed with Bradley so they teamed up with the Malolos to blindside Bradley right before the merge.
At the merge, Chelsea tried working with the women, but spilled the beans that allowed Michael to save himself with his Idol. Chelsea won Individual Immunity on both Day 27 and Day 29.
When she was immune on Day 27, she was left in the dark when Desiree was blindsided and not included in the plan, putting her on the outs. Immune, she continued working with the Navitis to take out Jenna. When Sebastian took all the guys to a reward, Chelsea joined the other women in plotting against Domenick and Wendall. The women did not have the support of Laurel and Dnonathan, and unfortunately, Chelsea became a threat due to her immunity wins. On Day 32, Chelsea became the 13t person voted out and the 6th member of the jury in a 5-3 vote. She voted for Domenick to win the game.
Chelsea was a dancer for the Utah Jazz and a cheerleader for the L.A. Rams. When she was cast for Survivor, she was working as an EMT and is currently studying to be a physician’s assistant. Due to her lack of edit, some fans dubbed her Purple Chelsea and would celebrate whenever Chelsea made an appearance, her first line not occurring until several episodes into the show where she said “I’m sitting”.
