since survivor recently loves these xd game changer twists that allow big moves to flourish (or flop miserably), I feel an interesting twist could happen to idols.
To reinstate the fact that Survivor is a SOCIAL game foremost, I feel they should do a twist that idols can only be used on other people, so you either
A. Use it on someone else
B. Lend it to someone and pray they use it on you
I feel it would allow for many messy moments that the show loves but also interesting strategies to develop and kinda make it like old school where you can't just idol your way to the end.
Like could you imagine if people like Ben, Russell, Wentworth, etc had to rely on their allies to protect them LOL.
edit --- i am team #back2basics, but it's just not realistic, a shame too.
Or they could do a Back to Basics season without telling them that's what it is so everyone goes and hunts for idols and paints targets on their backs but in reality there's nothing
