Just took a new job

I’ll be working at one of the top hospitals in the world doing administrative work

It’s a pay cut for sure (likely 500/week less 🥺)

But someone please tell me it’s better for my future because I don’t wanna be a server for the rest of my life

It's better for your future because it's safe, steady money. You know you're wages as a server fluctuated, so while you're making less than you did during peak weeks, it's probably still more than on slow weeks, and it's guaranteed.
