The reason why Universal Health Care will not be accepted for years to come is because we have warped middle income families to think they are "rich" and should have more rights than those that make less than them.
An actual argument from my family when I bring Universe Health Care up with my family is that they dont want to wait in waiting rooms with people that are, "faking illnesses". First and foremost, I have no idea how thats an actual argument... second of all there is proven studies and real life examples (NHS in UK) that shows that the argument that more people will go to the hospital for smaller health issues is inaccurate under UHC.
Never forget that Health Care is a RIGHT. When I was 15, my father lost his job and I lived the next 2 years without health insurance (until I went to college). There is no child in America that should have to have their parents tell you that you cant go to the doctor when you are sick because they cannot afford the $150 bill that will come in the mail, or the $40 antibiotics that will make you better.
The way this country treats Health Care is an absolute fucking disgrace.
