It's not Da'vonnes responsibility to carry the two other black players to jury just to create representation for the race.
It is on the PRODUCERS to cast black houseguests the same way they cast white houseguests. Most of the white girls they cast are fucking models with a personality type of a wet towel, and the only reason they get far is because they want to suck dick. Most of the black girls they cast they deem as "stereotypical", and they hope that they create drama for the house (i.e. Da'vonne, Libra, Chima, Jameka). Don't even get me started with the casting choices for black men.... because i can truly go off....
All in all, when they cast a black person in Big Brother, they expect them to be multiple things; controversial, problematic, devout christian, etc. While they let white people get casted for being extremely mediocre with the personality type of; "hot".

bb5lover I was actually salty about her comment. Though I agree casting could be improved, I'd hope at the end of the day they'd vote based on the game, since it's a game. Also, I don't like that they discount Tamar's win. She's black. She won. She deserved it over the other black finalist.
I know she voted for Nicole to win her season because she was a woman (at least in part), but also Paul was a douche and didn't deserve to win.
I just hope if it came down to f2 and she's in the jury and let's say the f2 is Bayleigh and Tyler (LOLOLOLOL) that she'd vote on who deserves it, not because of who she is as a person.

chic black americans make up about 15% of our population I believe? and that's not getting into multiracial individuals (idt). If that's the cast then the casting is appropriate for the population I suppose. I also think as younger people we think they need to do better because we see more diversity. I work for a university and I wanna say our enrollment is now closer to 40% non-white meaning they should be casting more and more diverse individuals.
However, I kinda dig how Shonda does (or at least used to) casting for her shows - they don't look at race. I personally would like to see that. So what if there are 12/16 contestants that are black or non-white - as long as it's a good cast with a bunch of different personalities. I just don't want a bunch of mindless zombies that group=think lol
I'm annoyed she told her reasoning to the house. Now she set herself, David, and Bayleigh to be nommed TOGETHER in the future as they know Day/Bay will now 100% save each other and David each time. Reasoning is fine but stupid to admit.

at first i was like wait she should vote based on her game but then i was like hmmm nicolea is being evicted for not being black but HOW many past houseguests have been evicted... for being black? i can name maybe like 3-4 off the top of my head!
I don’t think it’s right to vote based off race as the game is based off who can play the best game not who (or which group) you feel deserves to win. Two wrongs do not make a right, however I can see why black ppl just don’t give a fuck anymore. I would probably feel the same at least in part if I was in that situation. It’s a sticky situation. But I think it was def a stupid decision to announce it bc now everyone is gonna target the black ppl of the cast and assume they’re working together.

But just to add to this, it's the exact same with gay people. The only gays they cast are flaming queens. Butch and masculine gays like myself have no chance to ever get cast
