but like being excluded from the lgbt community isn't discriminatory? like ace ppl literally aren't discriminated against on a systemic level it's more of a personal journey thing that can, yes, be hard but isn't the same as being denied employment, housing, and love based solely on your identity. as sum1 on the ace spectrum i have never met another ace person who was like "wow my asexual identity has really made my day-to-day life difficult in a similar way to how gay ppl feel!" like it rly just isn't the same
this isn't to say, of course, that ace people CAN'T find solace in the lgbt community - i feel like that's definitely a matter of personal preference and i wouldn't wanna deny that to sum1 but it's like saying ppl who are slightly lactose intolerant should be grouped w people who will literally die if they are in the same room as peanut butter
