RPDR ALL-STARS 2 FINAL RANKINGS Oct 27, 2016
All-Stars II Power Rankings:

I'm trying to keep this list as unbiased as possible.  These rankings are based on a mixture of performance, potential, and fan favoritism.  This list will NOT be inclusive of what's happened outside of drag race, e.g. Coco's tweets and Katya's Total RuCall.

10: Adore Delano - This time around, she was shaken by her negative critiques week one and couldn't stick around.  I don't blame her; although I wouldn't have made the same decision, I stand by doing what's best for her.  However, she was actually better (aesthetically and personally) on season 6.  Her drag has evolved into a style not really suited for the "Drag Race" format.

9: Ginger Minj - This time around, Ginger gave me the same exhausted vibe I got from Latrice on All Stars I.  I love Ginger and I love that she tried to redeem herself.  However, this time around she felt much less confident and passionate.  Most of her sound bytes were praising Katya; while this could easily be a product of editing, she still just didn't leave much of a mark this season.  While she was bitchy on season 7, she was also endearing at times.  She lost both qualities on All Stars.

8: Coco Montrese - Coco was the obvious first boot out of the cast.  The reason why is because she has changed the least since the first time around and hasn't made much of an internet presence.  While her first challenge did suck, she had several cute moments with Alyssa (what???) and did her damnedest to try to keep train wreck Phi Phi together during the comedy challenge.  She knew it was best to bury the feud with Alyssa but Phi Phi just wouldn't listen.  Overall, Coco made very good use of her small amount of screen time and tried to show versatility, which is really all you can ask for.

7: Phi Phi O'Hara - Phi Phi was clearly the villain of the season.  She vehemently swears that editing made her a bitch.  While editing surely exacerbated the situation, she knew going in she was seen as a villain.  While she did present us with an epic Future of Drag look, her a capella vocals sucked + her snatch game was extra as hell.  She deserved a safe - tops.  How she won the showgirls challenge is beyond me; the product we saw was terrible and the win easily belonged to Katya over Phi Phi (but w/e).  Her horrible "chola" comedy routine and unnecessary hatred for Alyssa cemented her elimination.  In fact, she's only this high on the list because she delivered more than any of those lower than her.  While she was overpraised, she did deserve to make it as far as she did.

6: Roxxxy Andrews - I'm a massive Roxxxy fan and I'm proud to admit it.  During Season 5, I was rooting for her to take the crown.  She was the fiercest competitor that showed the most versatility but Jinkx winning just felt right and was understandable.  Now, on allstars, she went too far.  HOWEVER, THIS WAS NO FAULT OF HER OWN.  EDITORS RIGGED THE LIPSYNCS SO THAT ROLASKATOX WOULD STAY TOGETHER.  People who are taking their frustration over the final 4 out on Roxxxy irritate me; she deserved to go home against Tatianna the second time but she did in fact serve looks over the weeks.  Additionally, like Coco, she tried at EVERYTHING she did.  It's not her fault that Alaska and Detox made friendship-motivated decisions.  Finally, she successfully redeemed herself, which was her purpose in returning.

5: Detox - I'm certain this placement will be controversial due to Detox's fan base.  However, like with Season 5, i got serious all bark and no bite vibes from her.  Everything she did was good, but nothing was brilliant.  She's versatile and well-rounded, a jack of all trades, but she's not quite the best at any of them.  Her future of drag gagged me; her finale look shook me; she SLAUGHTERED the makeover; however, her pants on the runway, latex (sorry about it), "singing" performance, and trash can commercial were all too overpraised.  She set the bar high for herself and consistently met these expectations without quite pushing it any further.  Detox was worthy of final 3,  but I'm not so sure that her track record reflects her true performance.

4: Tatianna - Tatianna is one of my all-time favorite queens and she made me SO SO SO proud this season.  She was only there for four episodes yet has since catapulted to ICON status.  Why is that?  Let's review:
• "The Same Parts" was a revelation.  She's turned it into one of the most successful post-show hits and shocked us all with an unexpected talent (which she tends to do)
• While her Snatch Game was nowhere near the level it was the first time, I suspect most queens have similar "awkward pauses" and hers were purposely left in so that she'd go home and SLAY everyone when she returned. Plus, the Ari illusion was INCREDIBLE.
• The comeback episode, aka the Greatest Drag Race Episode of All Time, took the bar set during episode one and threw it to the top of Mount Everest.  Her comedy made me actually run to the bathroom and "Shut up and Drive" was both Lipsync of the Season and one of the best of all time.  She also showcased her beautiful humility when Ru announced that she was returning, she chased down Phi Phi after eliminating her, and her reaction to Alyssa returning was heartwarming as well.
• The episode where she went home WAS NOT A BAD PERFORMANCE.  Alyssa should've been top two over Alaska and Roxxxy should've honestly been accompanied by Detox, whose product isn't even slightly marketable.  However, I feel like going home here was the best option for her.  She didn't fail at the challenge, meaning viewers will refer to her as a ROBBED ICON for all eternity.  This was arguably better for her than continuing to slay and being eliminated after flopping a challenge.  Regardless, she served up redemption this week and established herself as a star.

3: Katya - Katya showed us this time around the real, carefree, stressless Katya.  However, she was guaranteed to lose this finale: she was in the bottom twice and lost the legacy lipsync on all three of her challenge wins.  However, I don't believe this reflected her actual performance.  While episodes 1 and 2 were fairly judged, she was set up to fail as Princess Diana in episode 3.  I was also shocked she was in the bottom on episode 4 after giving one of the funniest performances (even if her look was safe-ish).  In episode 5, she was paired with Ginger and gave a somewhat safe performance as well.  However, she MURDERED the infomercial challenge and was SO FUCKING ROBBED IN THE LIPSYNC AGAINST ALASKA.  The lipsync in episode 7 sucked but Detox honestly won the challenge.  I've found that Katya isn't terribly good at the challenges but when her natural personality is allowed to shine, she's incredible.  Overall, Katya definitely showed why she's a star this season.  I was fully #TeamKatya in the finale but I don't think she deserved to win (as much as I love her)

2: Alaska - 'Lil 'Lasky knew she had this in the (trash) bag from the moment she got the casting call.  She went at full 100% and really did give excellent performances.  Her episode one performance was solid, her Mae West was gag-worthy.  She was given by FAR the easiest lipsync but I'm willing to forgive it bc girl actually managed fish (somehow).  On episode 4, she definitely deserved the challenge win (although the competition kinda sucked that week).  While she was overrated during the comedy challenge, she gave a very strong performance.  However, she clearly did not win the episode 6 lipsync and her tantrum in episode 7 is what really made me, amongst other viewers, want her to lose in the end.  Despite my emotions at the time, she was the deserving winner and she gave a very strong overall performance.

1: Alyssa Edwards - I'm a huge Alyssa fan but I expected her to last a total of three episodes in All Stars.  However, she gave very strong performances in the first two episodes (most notably during snatch game, which she flopped the first time around).  Then, she MURDERED the lipsync challenge.  MURDERED.  And she received even more fan favoritism when she wisely eliminated Ginger, who was nowhere near as well-liked as Katya.  Her elimination in episode four was deserved (i guess) but extremely disappointing.  Then, the comeback challenge happened.  She's one of the only queens I know of that can simply be herself on a comedy stage and still elicit such a positive reaction from the audience.  Then, the SHUT UP AND DRIVE LIPSYNC.  And the werkroom fight where Phi Phi and Ginger ganged up on Alyssa?  She handled it so well!  She gave a strong performance in her commercial, and she was clearly 3rd place on the makeover challenge.  She DID NOT deserve to go over Roxxxy, and was possibly the only queen that had given a strong enough performance overall to deserve to take the crown over Alaska.  She, alongside Tatianna, was the robbed goddess of ASII.  While we knew she wasn't going to win, she ranked this high because of what she did this season.  In S5, she was a quote machine that stuck around through pageant polish, personality, and lipsyncing skills (she fucked up most of the season 5 challenges).  However, this time around, she only had one performance that harkened back to this "Messy" Alyssa (the episode where she went home the first time).  She collected herself and delivered a degree of polish and hilarity I had no idea she could produce.  She is the true "all-star" to me not because she was robbed the first time around (I.e. Manila, Chad, Alaska), but rather because she took her legacy - since this season is all about that - from season 5 and transformed herself completely.  Alyssa may not have won the competition but she blew me away with her performances.  If we could bring her back to compete again on AS3 I wish we could; she's just getting better and better Mawma.

EDIT: This ranking is based on performance, not potential.  For instance, if it was based on potential, Tatianna would've easily broken top 3.  However, based on what I saw, she landed in fourth place.

I HAVE AN ALLSTARS 2 THEORY Oct 7, 2016
So, right now it feels like Alaska has been rigged to win because of her winning the lipsyncs, right?  Well, I think that lipsync for your legacy also applies to DECISIONS.  So because of that, despite her "inferior" track record.... I think the producers have been subtlety rigging it for KATYA to win.  #RPDR #DragRace #Casting
