Sick of the same old laundry detergent commercials trying to draw you in to purchase their product? Well, I'm here to end all myths and provide you guys with my personal ranking of the top five laundry detergents out there right now.
5. BIOZET ATTACK
The brand lives up to the name, offering strong weapons for you to wield against tough stains and the sneaky yellowing of whites.
The range remains simple and focussed, taking the fuss out of choosing a solid laundry product. However, if you have quite sensitive skin or wish to wash quite delicate fabrics, Biozet may not work for your particular needs.
I would recommend this product to no one.
4. EARTH CHOICE
This brand can be widely found at major supermarkets and many other local retailers, as it quickly took off when it introduced affordable, effective eco-friendly cleaners and toiletries onto the mass market.
Earth Choice laundry products are grey water and septic system safe, meaning that you don’t need to worry about whether your washing habits are polluting our waterways.
The major downside is that Earth Choice laundry products don’t contain the strongest cleaning ingredients on the planet, simply because those ingredients aren’t good for the planet.
3. OMO
This range is said to be dermatologically tested. It’s designed to be tough on stains, but leave clothes gentle on the skin. The OMO Sensitive powder and OMO Sensitive liquid contain no dyes or perfumes. It also aims to only require one dose for stains.
OMO aims to provide a laundry detergent that is strong enough to get rid of stains in one dose. If you have messy kids or a clumsy spouse, OMO may be a brand to consider.
This is a family friendly brand that I would advise all parents to look into.
2. SURF
The surf laundry product range focuses on different types of scents to create lasting freshness. A focus on scent has a subtle but noticeable difference on your washing, as well as comfort of your clothes. Surf says it believes that smell is the most powerful sense and that through different aromas, spontaneous emotional reactions are triggered. So a scent can make you feel happy or sad or maybe even remind you of a memory that brings you back to your grandmother’s kitchen. This is definitely the case for me.
Additionally, from an eco-friendly perspective, all Surf products are phosphate-free.

This brand is most definitely my all time favourite laundry detergent.
It's great for the kids, and parents alike.
The sensitive range is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested. It’s designed to be gentle on the skin with no harmful dyes and a low allergen fragrance.
The radiant range aims to give you white and sharp colours. It’s designed with several Radiant features, including its optical brightener technology that aims to re-emit light to give brighter whites, anti-greying polymers to help prevent stains to re-deposit onto other clothes, and colour enhancing technology with anti-fuzz protection to remove excess micro-fibres that block light from hitting the surface.
