This is my idea for a potential sole survivor game since a lot of people ask for it, so I wanted to show randomize how this would actually come to life in a plausible way for tengaged. I know randomize is probably going to finish the game he started before even considering an idea but it was fun to do so let's see if by miracle we could get this going. Color Level: Light Green +
Format: "Slow Game" / 1 Cycle Style Game (with a twist)
The way I envisioned this is having survivor enroll at the same time every
week kind of like stars however... instead of just ONE game it would be
actually 2 or 3 games. I am going to use 2 games for simplicity sake
but if everyone felt like 3 would be better then it could be 3.
Basically at enrollment 4 tribes would open
up and as people enrolled they would be sorted into one of the four tribes.
Once all the tribes were full (40 people) the game would be begin
and it would be Tribe 1 vs Tribe 2 and Tribe 3 vs Tribe 4.
This way the game would not burn out since it won't be played unlimited
times in a week but still a lot of people would get to play it. My proposed
time in between games is 2-3 weeks. This would allow 120 fresh faces
to play without any repeats. Not sure if the community is big enough
for that.. to be discussed.
Also this could be an unlimited enrollment game but I would definitely
like to see the enrollment randomized some how. It would bring
back a lot of the strategy in games that has depleted over the years
in favor of big groups of friends joining & would help people make
new friends.
Gameplay:

Day 1: Tribal immunity challenge (12 hours long)
Day 2-11: Continuing Tribal immunity with the losing tribe going
to tribal council.
**During Days 2-9 there will be a 25-40% chance (to be discussed) that there
will be a tribe switch of 0-5 players. This would make it like the show
where it is not predictable what round there will be a tribe swap but
also every game will be different there is no set number of swaps
(increasing replay value)**
Day 12: Individual Immunity & Strategy
Day 13-20 Indivudal Immunity & Vote Offs
Day 21: Final Vote off
Day 22-23: The 8 people voted off can cast their vote for the winner
(perhaps use the "ask me" style function where jury can ask questions
of the finalists where everyone can see the answers or just mail their
questions and the final 2 answer in the public chat)
And also have a poll for the publlic to cast the 9th vote for the winner
**Or just have the final 9 become the 7-Person Jury & Final 2**
The game would be longer than a week which is not ideal but I guess
ORG style games go sometimes go a month or longer so I think it would be ok.
Challenge scores would be public because I think it keeps cheating accountable and also offers
some gameplay (even if it is annoying to be on for day change) when people wait to compete in
immunity.
Hidden Immunity Idols:
Not exactly sure how this would be coded but my idea is once a day people
can click on a link (similar to immunity challenge link) but instead of
a challenge, there will be a page of 40-50 bushes (like the hunger games bushes)
A player can click one of the bushes and it will either be empty
or a Hidden Immunity Idol.
There will be maxmium 1 Hidden Immunity Idol per Tribe (so 2 pre-merge, 1 Post merge... unless someone carries over an idol to merge)
If someone plays an idol, then another idol goes into play the next day

To Play an Idol:
Similar to shooting an arrow in hunger, if you have an immunity idol you can click on it and bring up all the players on
your tribe, including yourself. You can then "use" the HII on someone. Once you have used it you cannot take it back. It acts
as immunity and any votes of the day you use your immunity idol at tribal council do not count. FINAL 6 is the last day an idol can be played. http://imgur.com/a/XjSJv
Food/Water
This is the only aspect that I was stumped with... part of thinks
the game should focus on strategy more than who can have the most
water/food to dominate challenges but also leaving it out would
miss some dramatic moments with people kpelling etc. Would like some
feedback.
Challenges:
I think there would need to be a new set of challenges, with a few more
luck based challenges. The only reason I say that is to make newer users
and people that don't have amazing computer / clicking skills have a
chance and make the games less predictable with that one person
that can dominate every single challenge we have. In the real show
a lot of it comes down to a puzzle which is a crapshoot so I think
to some degree games with some skill/luck/chance variances would
make the game more enjoyable for people OVERALL. Hunger Games / Merging Survivor / Even to a degree Frookies
are all heavily based on challenge ability so it would be nice to have a game
that relies very little on challenges (Even pre-merge if it is more of a toss up of which tribe
will win immunity each round I think that is more exciting)
wouldn't the game be longer? you said it started with 40 people, which means that after 11 days or w/e, it would be down to 20, so a 20 person merge...? or would it go to tribe phases again?
I honestly think it would be a good idea, but it would also mess with people's health a lot more since the current Survivor takes away health each time you get voted out.
icarus_mark Sole survivor wouldn't necessarily have to have a health requirement to play perhaps :) or you don't lose any for being voted out like stars!
one thing i dislike is public voting, i think merge should be at final 11 because going to 10 is a lil to long b4 merge imo and it solves the even jurors problem
maybe for the food and water have it only in the first part of the game? so maybe just have it during the tribe phrase, and then when it becomes merge, however much food you have you start with that much health, and everyone will start losing X amount of health per day?
so like if you have 40 water/100 food- maybe you have like 180 seconds for M3
and if you only have 0 water/96 food- maybe you will start with like 160 seconds for M3
this way you still have the possiblity of kpellers in the first one, and it will make people think more about hunting/collecting water as well, especially when it comes closer to merge.
