A poem I came up with once. Wasn't really dedicated to anyone

I guess I’ve known you all my life
Or at least all of yours
And now you seem to have such strife
And with tears it seems it pours

Some people might say change your ways
But I was never one of them
You know every person has their days
Some day you will shine like a gem

They will all bow when your star shines
With your true friends by your side
You will get praises of all kinds
But it is no reason to run and hide

In all there is potential
It is sometimes hard to see
In you it is sequential
Or at least it is to me
